Last Spring, several reports appeared about Dubai’s unreal assortment of police vehicles. Their ornamental fleet consisted of Dodge Chargers, Chevy Camaros, BMW 5 Series sedans and several exotics including a Lamborghini Aventador and Ferrari Four. Well, the party continues in 2014 as they have just added a brand new Bugatti Veyron to this already insane stable.
This is so wrong for so many reasons, however, the most upsetting thing of all is, why would you paint police colours and add service lights to a $1.6 million Bugatti?
Honestly, the line more money than brains suits this perfectly. Shame on Dubai.
We can only imagine some of our Canadian men and women in blue are wishing they worked in Dubai about now…Since those rides sure beat driving around in an old Ford Crown Victoria…..
Local hip hop superstar Drake was in town over the August long weekend to host his successful OVO fest which is marquee event during Toronto’s Caribana festival. While in town, Drake was also spotted driving his newly delivered Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir around Toronto’s tony Yorkville area. Check out video at 1:08 or so.
Even if you are not a hip hop fan you do have to respect Drake’s choice in cars as he sure likes the finer things with regards to the automobile. And the “Started” vanity licence plate is a perfect touch. Team RedlineNorth actually caught a glimpse of Drake last year when he was in town for his birthday as he rolled along Queen Street West in his Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG with his entourage following behind in the Bentley and Cadillac Escalade. At least he is true to his hip hop mantra of YOLO – You only live one!
After driving around town for the first few days, we headed over to check out LA’s amazing and historic Petersen Automotive Museum. The pictures do not do it justice but the gist is, this is a must see for any car enthusiast. The Museum entails the typical historical details and stories about cars and the people who built them but the really interesting part is the guided tour of The Vault. The Vault consists of all the vehicles that are not on display as well as many of the vehicles on loan from benefactors. Unfortunately, there is no photography allowed in this section so we were not able to take any pics which just means you must come here yourself. Nonetheless, here is our coverage from the museum section which included a range of vintage and new vehicles.

I really can’t think of a better way to spend a beautiful, warm, May evening than checking out the sights and sounds of the Gumball 3000 race. Last night, as the caravan arrived in Toronto, the RedlineNorth team captured the glitz and glam of these amazing branded up supercars as they entered the closed off streets of Toronto’s Yorkville area.
Started in 1999, the Gumball 3000 is a modern day Cannonball Run which attracts international socialites and playboys from all over the globe to participate in a cross country road race. For 2012, the race has returned to its roots as racers drive the epic New York City to Los Angeles route.
With a wide range of ultra expensive models being used as street racers there is certainly something for everyone who’s into cars. Along with the cars is the equally impressive star- studded line-up of drivers who have competed in the race including Daryl Hannah, David Hasselhoff, Dennis Rodman and Tony Hawk. The full list can be seen here. This annual event is like no other in North America. The opportunity to participate should be number one on any car enthusiasts ultimate dream wish list.
