We have to thank the gang over at Jalopnik for finding this one. Not sure whether to love or hate the guy so I will let you decide but it’s unique nonetheless. I never would have thought skeet shooting and Porsche 911 Targa would be in the same sentence but alas it is here.
Urban Outlaw is a portrait of Magnus Walker, the rebel Porsche customizer who turned a hobby into an obsession, and an obsession into a successful business. From a workshop in downtown Los Angeles, Magnus obsessively harvests fragments from donor 911s, grafting them onto vintage frames to create one-off automobiles with the spirit of Ferdinand Porsche but an ethos entirely his own. Specializing in 1964-1972 models, Magnus is a genius fabricator and a real life artist of the automotive industry.
For any enthusiast, this is a must see video and I guarantee after watching you will be interested in Porsches if you were not interested before.
Always the last weekend in October, the Toronto Fall Classic Car Auction signifies the unofficial end of the summer car season. And once again, the auction did not disappoint; as there was a solid crowd bidding on an amazing field of machines hitting the auction block. From big dollar trailer queens, to quality resto-mods, to that unmolested all original model, the auction truly has it all and is a must attend event for the auto enthusiast. Nothing beats hearing and seeing these vintage vehicles in action as they change hands to deliver more magic to their new owners. Oh, how the automobile gods must watch these events with big smiles on their faces.
Here is a quick slide show of what was available at this year’s event.
In honour of Germany’s first victory in the Euro 2012 tournament we thought it made sense to do this post today about Germany’s Porsche.
A RedlineNorth community member recently took a trip of a lifetime to Germany to tour some of the holiest car sites in the world including the Porsche factory in Leipzig and the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. A life long Porsche fan and current Cayman owner, he was kind enough to share his trip photos from this ultimate Porsche experience.
Beginning with a factory tour to test drive a newly ordered 2012 Panamera 4S the trip included stops at the Porsche test track as well as the Museum in Stuttgart. Here are some of the highlights from the amazing, two week adventure in Deutschland.
